Come build something with us. Here’s what’s next on the calendar.
Students will team up with working engineers for a hands-on design-and-build challenge, no experience necessary, just curiosity.

We’re planning additional workshops and mentor meet-ups throughout the school year. Check back here, or follow us on social media for updates.
🎥 Watch the STEMConnect recap
Students explored the night sky through telescopes, learning the science behind what we see above us. It was a hands-on introduction to astronomy that turned curiosity about space into real discovery.
Students designed, built, and launched their own water-pressure rockets, testing concepts like pressure, forces, and aerodynamics. Each launch let them see the engineering process play out from idea to real result.
Students helped care for a local loʻi, connecting hands-on service with science, agriculture, and Hawaiʻi’s natural environment. It was a chance to see how STEM applies directly to caring for their own community.
Kūkulu ʻIke helped bridge the connection between Moanalua Middle and Moanalua Elementary by bringing middle schoolers to support the annual 5th Grade Bridge Night. Rather than just volunteering, students became mentors themselves, sharing what they’d learned to help younger students improve their bridge designs.
